Hi there.
My name is Joy.
My name is Joy.
I am making this blog to tell about my vegetarian lifestyle.
I started just this week, and I am very excited.
I'll tell you a few facts about me first.
I'm a Christian, and love God with all my heart <3
I'm a dancer [I take ballet and tap, and love it!]
I am homeschooled, but next year I would love to go to my nearest High School.
I live in the states, but really want to visit Europe, Israel, and Africa.
I love to knit. I am forever starting projects when I have about 6 others that I've started and never finished!
I guess i get bored of them, or think of other things I can make... but usually, I go back and work on them... after leaving them in the closet for months. Even years.
But mostly not years.
So I am going to be blogging about my new lifestyle as a vegetarian.
Hopefully I will not give up on it, like I have with my other few blogs that started. Ehh well, they didn't really keep up with my changing lifestyle. But, as a vegetarian, I doubt very seriously that I will ever go back to eating meat. For a longggg time at least.
You are probably wondering why I have become a vegetarian.
Well, I want to be healthy. I want to be thin [I'm at a healthy weight, but I would like to improve myself], and I have never loved the look of naked chickens (slimy :P ) or ground up cows at the grocery store. Its so cruel what people still put animals through.
Also, you might want to know what kind of vegetarian I am. I eat cheese, drink milk, eat sour cream (dairy products) I do not eat chicken or beef or pork (no meat), and I don't usually eat fish a lot anyways. I might every now and then, every once in a blue moon. If there was nothing to eat at a restaurant but meat, I would go for the fish. (see what I'm saying) oh yes, and I will be eating vegetarian substitute meat- ground beef, chicken strips, chicken patties, sausage- all not meat- its probably made of soy, legumes (green beans and such), beans, vegetables, and all natural stuff, etc.
My parents have been eating like vegetarians these past days too, with me making meals and us having lots of veggies and fruits in the fridge, and no meat in our house. :)
I am not however planning on making this blog very complicated.
I will mostly be writing an entry/post (hopefully every day) and posting photos about what I had for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks that day, and little details that go with them.
So hopefully you will find it interesting, inspiring, and diverting.
I will not be starting today, with the pics, I mean, because I could not find the photos on my camera.
But I'll tell you what Ive had... [below]
-Breakfast: Kashi cereal and milk. {Mmmm}
-Lunch: a Salad with Morningstar vegetarian chicken substitute (the chicken was a bit weird), cheddar sprinkle cheese, and sour cream (I know it's not all that healthy- but we ran out of salad dressing) {Salad=YUM} with a glass of water, and a bowl of strawberries and grapes.
-Dinner: I will have a vegetarian chicken patty (from Morningstar- they are SO good) on a flatbread, with lettuce and cheddar sprinkle cheese. {YUM} with a glass of water
-Snack: a low salt rice cake {YUM}
haha when i tried that flat bread thing you gave me i thought it was better than it smelled! haha keep being a veg joy! lol
